Title: The Best Invitation You Will Ever Receive

Text:

Isaiah 1:18 (HCSB)
18 "Come, let us discuss this," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will be like wool.

Observation:

Have you accepted the invitation of the Lord to come to Him? Have you taken the time to consider it, and discuss it with the Lord?

Notice that it is a gracious invitation; it is full of grace, and love for you. It is true; O how God loves you and me. The text continues to say.

Isaiah 1:19-20 (HCSB)
19
If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.
20 But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

There is a terminal condition each of us has, and it is sin. However, God has a remedy for our sins. It was costly to Him, but it is free to us. Notice what He says in the text. There is more; consider this.

God is light and in Him is no darkness. He wants to walk with us and talk with us, and be our friend. Therefore, He has provided a way to remedy our sin problem that separates us from Him. He has provided the way for us to walk with Him.

1 John 1:7 (HCSB)
7 But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

The invitation is personal; it has your name on it.

"Come, let us discuss this," says the LORD.

Prayer:

Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I delight to accept your gracious invitation. Father God, it is too good to refuse; to give You my sins in exchange for Your righteousness. Lord, thank You for providing the way so that I don't have to die for my own sins. Lord, I thank You that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Acts 6:4 (KJV)
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
