Title: A Prescription for Having a Godly Day Every Day

Text:

Proverbs 23:26 (ESV)
26
My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.

Psalm 9:10 (ESV)
10
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.

Romans 12:1 (ESV)
1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Observation:

The most important thing you can ever do in your life is to make sure you have a personal relationship with the Lord. It is the foundation for life today, and for eternity.

Do you know the Lord? You can know Him; He has revealed Himself in His Word; the Bible. O, the blessings of knowing the Lord, because those who know Him trust in Him. Notice how deeply the Apostle Paul felt about knowing Christ. He practiced the principle of putting first things first.

Philippians 3:8-11 (ESV)
8
Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ
9
and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—
10
that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Galatians 2:20 (ESV)
20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Prayer:

Father God, I praise and thank You for the power of the cross, and the sacrificial and atoning work of Jesus on that cross. Father, I thank You for His victory over sin, death, and the grave. Father God, because of Jesus I can have victory every day in the power of the risen Christ.

Father, I am so grateful that I can say that Christ lives in me; thank You Lord. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

"Have Thine own way, Lord,
Have Thine own way;
Thou art the Potter,
I am the clay.
Mould me and make me
After Thy will,
While I am waiting,
Yielded and still."
