Title: Do You Know the Song the Lord Loves to Sing?
Text:
Zephaniah 3:14-17 (ESV)
14 Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!
15 The LORD has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil.
16 On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: "Fear not, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak.
17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
Observation:
It is one thing for the people of God to sing; however, and even greater blessing is to hear the voice of the Lord singing to His people.
It is a pity that so many people in today's world have such a poor concept of fatherhood because of the lack of love and care by their earthly father.
O, how we need to teach the biblical concept of God, our heavenly Father, to every generation. Our children need to see the God of the Bible in all on His glory. Notice the love and the care He has for His people in this love song.
Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)
17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
Notice how many times He says, "I will". Who wouldn't love a Father like this? Listen to the song the Lord delights to sing loudly to His people; what He's done for others, He will do for you. Sing to the Lord, and then listen to Him sing back to you. Give the Lord your whole heart, and He will fill it with His love.
Isaiah 12:2 (ESV)
2 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."
Prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I pray that Your people will learn to delight in you in spite of the negative concept they may have of their earthly father. Lord, I thank you for those who have a loving earthly father.
Father God, I am so grateful that I have found in You a God in whom I can delight, and I am so thankful, that because of Jesus, that You can delight in me, and all of Your children; you can be a father to the fatherless.
I am so glad that I can call You, Abba, Father; my dear Father. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Acts 6:4 (KJV)
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
