Title: Do You Have Friendship with the Lord?
Text:
Psalm 25:14 (ESV)
14 The friendship of the LORD is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.
Observation:
Oswald Chambers said in a recent devotional I read that the mark of true friendship is when a friend shares with you their secret joys.
The word "friendship" in our text is also translated as " The secret counsel". Have we reached the point in our relationship with the Lord where we are so connected with Him that He shares with us the secret counsel of His heart?
We have been writing about praying Kingdom prayers; the kind of prayers that Jesus taught His disciples when He taught them to pray in this fashion.
Luke 11:2 (ESV)
2 And he said to them, "When you pray, say: "Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come.
Wow! This is amazing I have a playlist playing in the tray of my computer, and the song that is playing as I type is, "Hallowed Be Your Name" with Ron Kenoly singing. There are 14 songs in the album, and that is the one that is playing as I pasted Luke 11:2 into my document. The next song was, "Anointing fall on me, let the power of the Holy Ghost fall on me, anointing fall on me". Hallelujah!
I find it to be so amazing how the Lord provided the next thing He wanted me to write by arranging those songs to play immediately after I pasted the scripture.
God wants to talk to you. When you pray allow time for Him to talk to you. Ask, then, wait for His answer. Its prayer time; I don't need to say anything else; God has spoken, and let those who agree say, Amen.
Prayer:
Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven.
Father, let the Holy Spirit fall upon Your people as we come before You to worship and adore You. Father, I pray that Your people will be willing to wait on You until the power of the Holy Ghost falls on them. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Matthew 4:4 (HCSB)
4 But He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Psalm 2:8 (HCSB)
8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
