Title: Who Cares About You Most?
Text:
1 Peter 5:7 (AMP)
7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
Observation:
I woke up this morning with a notification that Facebook friends had posted updates that were on my Facebook wall. One of them led me to pray for a dear friend who recently had major surgery.
While I was praying the hymn by Jessy Dixon was playing in the background. Folks God is so real in my life. The hymn he was singing, "No One Ever Cares for Me Like Jesus".
I always have a Bible nearby so I reached over at the bed stand and opened my iPad to the Bible software program, and the last version I used was the AMP. The verse I read was 1 Peter 5:7.
The word for today is cares; I had another word in mind for today, but God had another plan. It is such a blessing to walk with God one day at a time, and one step at a time. There is not another friend that I would rather follow; He is a friend indeed. Like Jessy is singing, "No one ever cares for me (and you) like Jesus".
So, if you have a pressing need today, why not take a little time to talk to Jesus about what's on your heart.
Psalm 55:22 (AMP)
22 Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).
Prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I am so blessed to be able to walk with You, and to talk with You day by day, and moment by moment.
Lord, what a peace and confidence I have deep within my heart that Jesus cares for me, and that He cares for my family and my friends; He cares for my neighbors. Father, I am comforted in knowing that You love and care about the whole world; all of Your created beings.
Father, give Your servants a heart to care about others the way You do, and give us a burden to pray for one another. Father, let the Church pray. In the might name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
1 Samuel 12:23 (AMP)
23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you; but I will instruct you in the good and right way.
Matthew 4:4 (HCSB)
4 But He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Psalm 2:8 (HCSB)
8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
