Title: How Serving Others Can Contribute to Your Success
Text:
Philippians 2:1-2 (NLT)
1 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? 2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
Philippians 2:4 (NLT)
Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
Observation:
On November 10, 2013 I wrote an article using this text. Yesterday morning I noticed 8 pageviews of the article in my Google statistics. The previous night several speakers at my granddaughter's graduation spoke on the same topic.
Okay God, are you speaking to me about what I should write about today? As I read in an article recently, "You do the math".
This question is a piercing one, "Are your hearts tender and compassionate?" Herein lays the key to success in life. Why not make it the goal of your life; it's what Jesus would do. Don't just try it; do it for the glory of God, and for the blessing it will be to others, and to you. It's the secret to joy.

Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, Sovereign Lord, I pray that You would work in Holy Spirit power to bring about a change in the way that we relate to others. Father God, strengthen us with the desire and the power to love and serve others. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
