Title: Are There Any Witnesses That Will Say That Jesus is Alive?

Text:

1 Corinthians 15:1-8 (HCSB)
1 Now brothers, I want to clarify for you the gospel I proclaimed to you; you received it and have taken your stand on it. 2 You are also saved by it, if you hold to the message I proclaimed to you—unless you believed for no purpose. 3 For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. 6 Then He appeared to over 500 brothers at one time; most of them are still alive, but some have fallen asleep. 7 Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one abnormally born, He also appeared to me.

Observation:

What is better in discerning things that are spiritual; your eyes or your faith? Everyone exercises faith in their daily life; however, the object of faith varies. What or who is the object of your faith?

Hebrews 11:1-2 (HCSB)
1 Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. 2
For our ancestors won God's approval by it.

Hebrews 11:6 (HCSB)
Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.

This is Holy Week for the community of faith. For Christ followers every day is a day to celebrate the work of the Lord Jesus Christ; every day is a day to proclaim the gospel message. I am so glad that Jesus is alive, and that He is real. The hymn writer captures my thoughts in this song.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.

Have a "Good Friday" and a "Happy Resurrection Sunday". He is risen! He is risen indeed!

Prayer:

Father God, my dear Father, I delight to associate myself with people of faith who declare that God is not dead, and that Jesus is alive. Father, I am so thankful that Jesus lives today, and that He lives in my heart. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

1 Corinthians 15:56-58 (HCSB)
56 Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! 58 Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord's work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Matthew 4:4 (HCSB)
4 But He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

Psalm 2:8 (HCSB)
8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
