Title: Do You Know Personally The God of All Comfort?

Psalm 119:49-56 (ESV)
49 Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope. 50 This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life. 51 The insolent utterly deride me, but I do not turn away from your law. 52 When I think of your rules from of old, I take comfort, O Lord. 53 Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked, who forsake your law. 54 Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning. 55 I remember your name in the night, O Lord, and keep your law. 56 This blessing has fallen to me, that I have kept your precepts.
Observation:
The Psalmist experienced afflictions and persecution. However, he also knew the comfort that God gives His people.
The trials and troubles of this world are unavoidable; they visit the just and the unjust. The difference for people of faith is that they have a comforter.
Like the Psalmist, God’s people can find comfort and hope in God’s Word. There are divine and supernatural resources that we can call upon, and have confidence in. Remember, in your time of afflictions and persecution we can upon God’s name and God’s Word.

I remember your name in the night, O Lord, and keep your law.
Psalm 119:92 (ESV)
If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so thankful that You are sovereign, and that You know everything that Your people are going through.
Father, I am so grateful that in Your name and word we can find comfort and hope for the longest days, and the darkest nights. Knowing that we are not alone is such a blessing. Lord, I praise and thank You in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
