Title: How Are You Doing in Being Grateful?
Text:
Psalm 92:1-4 (HCSB)
1 It is good to praise Yahweh, to sing praise to Your name, Most High, 2 to declare Your faithful love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night, 3 with a ten-stringed harp and the music of a lyre. 4 For You have made me rejoice, Lord, by what You have done; I will shout for joy because of the works of Your hands.
Observation:
What a joy it is to wake up this morning being clothed in my right mind with a reasonable portion of health and strength. When I listen to the chatter in the market place I get the idea that I am in the poorest nation on the face of the earth. Whatever happened to being grateful for what you have?
O how blessed we would be if we had an attitude of gratitude every day. Sometimes we just need to take the time to count our blessings. It's a shame that we take so many things for granted.
My pastor often prays a prayer similar to this, "Praise the Lord in the morning, praise Him at noon day, praise Him in the evening; praise the Lord all the daylong". Yes, there are some things that never grow old.
1 Chronicles 16:8-10 (HCSB)
8 Give thanks to Yahweh; call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the peoples. 9 Sing to Him; sing praise to Him; tell about all His wonderful works! 10 Honor His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
Prayer:
Father God, I praise and thank You for my blessings. Father, by faith, I look forward to what You are going to do today.
Then, at the close of the day I will look back, and in gratitude, I will thank You for Your lovingkindness and faithfulness. Father, help us to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Matthew 4:4 (HCSB)
4 But He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Psalm 2:8 (HCSB)
8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
