The Word for wisdom:
Proverbs 13:10 (MSG)
Arrogant know-it-alls stir up discord, but wise men and women listen to each other's counsel.
The Word for inspiration:
Psalm 34:15-16 (HCSB)
15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry for help. 16 The face of the Lord is set against those who do what is evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth.
The Word for encouragement:
John 17:14-17 (NLT)
14 I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. 15 I'm not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. 16 They do not belong to this world any more than I do. 17 Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.
My prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I am so thankful for the knowledge that this world is not my permanent home. Father, even more, I am grateful that the all seeing eyes of my heavenly Father are always watching over me to keep me safe from harm.
Father, like the Apostle Paul, by faith in you and your word, I renounce independence, and I declare my dependence upon the Lord. I entrust my life to the cause and the care of my God who is able to carry me through anything I may encounter in this world.
Acts 20:24 (NLT)
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
