Sunday Morning Reflections_March 6, 2011

The Word for wisdom:

Proverbs 6:20-22 (MSG)
20 Good friend, follow your father's good advice; don't wander off from your mother's teachings. 21 Wrap yourself in them from head to foot; wear them like a scarf around your neck. 22 Wherever you walk, they'll guide you; whenever you rest, they'll guard you; when you wake up, they'll tell you what's next.

The Word for inspiration:

Psalm 147:11 (AMP)
The Lord takes pleasure in those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy and loving-kindness.

The Word for encouragement:

Romans 5:1-2 (NLT)
1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.

My prayer:

Father God, I praise and thank you for the gift of faith that allows me to stand approved in your eyes through the sacrifice of your beloved son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Father God, I am so thankful that in spite of the troubles and tumult that rage around me that I have a peace within that floods my soul and fills my heart.

Father, I thank you that on this Lord's Day morning I can rejoice in the hope of all that you have for your beloved, and exalt that the best is yet to come.
