The Word for wisdom:
Proverbs 17:15 (HCSB)
Acquitting the guilty and condemning the just— both are detestable to the Lord.
The Word for inspiration:
Psalm 15:1 (NLT)
Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Psalm 15:4 (NLT)
Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the Lord, and keep their promises even when it hurts.
The Word for encouragement:
Romans 15:13 (NLT)
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
My observation:
Today we consider the third prayer request that the Apostle made for the people of the church at Rome. This request is that they would overflow with hope. The source of our hope comes from trusting in Jesus, and asking for what we need from our heavenly Father. Our Father has given us in his word many wonderful promises that are available for the asking. Prayer is the key that unlocks the door to the Father's storehouse. He has gifts and blessings with your name on it.
Romans 15:4 (HCSB)
For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the Scriptures.
My prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I am so thankful that you are a God of abundance so that when I come to you with requests I don't have to be concerned about scarcity. Father, I thank you that you are able and willing to fill your people with an overflowing hope. Father, by faith, I ask you to fill my cup until it overflows with strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.
