Daily Prayer_March 16, 2011

The Word for wisdom:

Proverbs 16:7 (HCSB)
When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

The Word for inspiration:

Psalm 15:1 (NLT)
Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?

Psalm 15:3 (NLT)
Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.

The Word for encouragement:

Romans 15:13 (NLT)
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

My observation:

Today we will ponder the second thing that Paul prays for the members of the church at Rome. The first thing was joy, which we covered yesterday, and the second is peace. This is a peace that comes from trusting in Jesus.

This peace comes from trusting in a God who can do anything but fail. It is a peace that fills the heart and thrills the soul. There is nothing sweeter this side of heaven than having the peace of God living and abiding in you completely. If you trust in him completely he will fill you completely with his peace.

Philippians 4:7 (NLT)
Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

My prayer:

Father God, my dear Father, I praise and thank you that you are a God in whom I can trust with my whole heart.

Father, I thank you and I praise you for being the Rock on whom I can build my life upon. Father, I thank you for your word that is truth, and that will stand the test of time and eternity.

My song:

Take Your Burdens to Jesus (Click on link below to listen to this song by the Barnes family):
