Title: How to Have Peace in Your Life?

Text:

John 14:27 (HCSB)
"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

Observation:

There is nothing more sought after and desired in this world than peace. Jesus had told His followers that in this world you will have trouble.

John 16:33 (HCSB)
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world."

When I hear of all of the problems and the troubles of this world, and see how things are getting worse and little hope for our ability to make them better by the wisdom and will of man. I have to encourage myself by remembering what Jesus told His disciples before His departure from this world.

John 14:1-6 (HCSB)
1 "Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also. 4 You know the way [to] where I am going." 5 "Lord," Thomas said, "we don't know where You're going. How can we know the way?" 6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The key to having peace is, "Believe in God; believe also in Me". We can't have peace by our works, but we came have peace by the works of Jesus. The Lord Jesus will give you His peace. Have you received Him?

John 1:12 (HCSB)
But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name,

Prayer:

Father God, my dear Father, I am so thankful that the Prince of Peace; Jesus, the Messiah, is alive and lives in my heart. I am so glad that where Jesus lives there is peace in Him. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

"There is peace in the midst of my storm-tossed life. Oh there's an Anchor, there's a Rock to cast my faith upon. Jesus rides in my vessel so I'll fear no alarm. He gives me peace in the midst of my storm."

Stephen R. Adams – Author of hymn, "Peace in the Midst of the Storm"

Matthew 4:4 (HCSB)
4 But He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

Psalm 2:8 (HCSB)
8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
