Title: Living in the Presence of God
Text:
Hebrews 10:19-25 (NLT)
19 And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.
20 By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
21 And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house,
22 let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Observation:
One of the greatest blessings the child of God has is the privilege and protection of being able to live in the presence of God.
This world is a dangerous and inhospitable place to live. Someone said recently that "we hardly ever have two consecutive days where everything goes well; problems and disappointments are the normal for life down here".
However, every child of God has this iron clad promise from the Lord; we can come into His presence any time. Notice that our text says Jesus has made this possible by His death. Further, He is alive today, and seated at the right hand of God the Father.
There is no place that is safer and securer than in the presence of God. He who promised is faithful. You can trust in the Lord for all things, and you can trust Him all the time.
Hebrews 10:23 (AMP)
23 So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so thankful that you provide a place of refuge for your beloved children. Father God, it is so wonderful to trust in you, and to rest in the knowledge that you are a God who is faithful in keeping your promises.
Father God, send a wave of energy among your people to encourage our hearts by the hope of the soon return of Jesus. Lord, comfort us with the knowledge that His coming is nearer than it's ever been. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Lord, while we wait help us to remember to speak words of hope into our hearts; and to stay close to Jesus; His presence will get us safely home. In Jesus name, Amen.

Acts 6:4 (KJV)
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
