The Word for wisdom:

Proverbs 6:23 (HCSB)
23 For a commandment is a lamp, teaching is a light, and corrective instructions are the way to life.

The Word for inspiration:

Psalm 91:1 (HCSB)
1 The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.

The Word for encouragement:

Exodus 4:10-13 (HCSB)
10 But Moses replied to the Lord, "Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent—either in the past or recently or since You have been speaking to Your servant—because I am slow and hesitant in speech."
11 The Lord said to him, "Who made the human mouth? Who makes him mute or deaf, seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?
12 Now go! I will help you speak and I will teach you what to say."
13 Moses said, "Please, Lord, send someone else."

My observation:

Today my focus is on the Old Testament passage from Exodus. We can learn a lot by examining how God dealt with his servants in the past. The Apostle Paul reminded the believers in his day of this truth, and it is a good word for us today.

Romans 15:4 (NLT)
4 Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God's promises to be fulfilled.

A serious reading of the scriptures will reveal that God always keeps his promises. We may be weak, and have our limitations as Moses did. However, our limitations are not a hindrance to God in accomplishing his purpose and calling upon our lives.

We may say in response to God's call upon our life, I can't. The response of God to us is that, "I never said you could". God never said to Moses that he could, but he did say the He would. Now here is a promise that you can believe in.

Philippians 4:13 (HCSB)
13 I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me.

My prayer:

Father God, Abba, Father, I am so glad that I don't have to do the heavy lifting when the subject is knowing and doing the will of God in my life. Father, I am so grateful that what is impossible in my own strength is possible in the strength of the Lord. Father, help me to learn to wait on you to do through your power what I cannot do in my own strength.
