Title: Why We Need to Walk Daily With God

Text:

Psalm 143:8 (HCSB)

8  Let me experience Your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in You. Reveal to me the way I should go because I long for You.

Observation:

In today's focal verse we see that David had a practice of starting the day looking to God, and to God's Word.

Here is the reason:

Psalm 142:3 (HCSB)

3  Although my spirit is weak within me, You know my way. Along this path I travel they have hidden a trap for me.

The world we live in is too dangerous, and the devil and his emps are too many to live in this world without the abiding presence of the Lord.

Psalm 16:8 (HCSB)

8  I keep the LORD in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

If you are a child of God you have no reason to ever feel alone, and the reason is that you are loved with an everlasting love by God. His love is not based on your performance, but it is based on His benevolence.

God loves you because He made you, and you belong to Him. He made you in His image, and for His purposes. God is always available to provide for all of your needs; there is nothing He is not able and willing to provide. O, if we would only exercise our will and trust in Him with our whole heart.

Matthew 11:28-30 (HCSB)

28  "Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

29  All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves.

30  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Prayer:

Father, hallowed be Your name. Father, our prayer to You this morning, and all the day long is like David's prayer.

Psalm 143:1 (HCSB)

1 LORD, hear my prayer. In Your faithfulness listen to my plea, and in Your righteousness answer me.

Father, we thank You for the confidence we have in You, and the comfort we experience when we trust in You with our whole heart. Father, help us to be willing to surrender our will to Your will. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

--

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
