Title: Do You Know How Much God Loves You?
Text:
Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)
17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
Observation:
There is no room for a spirit of hopelessness in the lives of God's people ever; your current circumstances are temporary. You will look back on them someday and realize that you got through it all.
Our focal verse for today encourages my heart. It is comforting to know that there is never a time in my life when God is not with me, and that His love for me never ceases; it is not based on my performance, but upon His sovereign choice to love me with an everlasting love; an unconditional love.
So, when the world puts you down; look up to the Lord, and He will lift you up. I like the latter part of our focal verse that says, "He will exult over you with loud singing".
Psalm 145:18 (ESV)
18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 145:21 (ESV)
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so grateful for Your unconditional love for Your people.
Father God, I pray that we will learn to seek You with our whole heart, and find in You the refuge we need in this dark and dangerous world.
Father God, it is in You that we find love and acceptance; deliverance and delight; hope, faith and love; and the greatest of these is love. Father, I thank You, and bless Your name. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Psalm 103:1 (ESV)
1
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
Matthew 4:4 (HCSB)
4 But He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Psalm 2:8 (HCSB)
8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
