Title: Where Do You Live?

Observation:

The topic that I write about today is one that seems to be on the mind of people I know. I have noticed it in several places the past few days. It got my attention; so today I make it a part of my prayer in search of the wisdom of God from his word.

Is it possible to have peace in the world in which we live? Can we hope for a time when all of our problems will vanish, and the world will be a place without drama? I don't think so.

However, there is a place where we can find peace; it is not in ideal circumstances or conditions, but in a person. We worry about things that we don't have to. Our Father wants us to take everything to him in prayer. My daughter's Bible Study Class talked about this topic yesterday. Her great grandmother used to say, "If you are going to worry don't pray. If you are going to pray, don't worry".

Know that In God alone we find peace, rest, and strength for living out our purpose for which we were born. Why live under the circumstances when you can live underneath the everlasting arms of the Lord?

Deuteronomy 33:27 (HCSB)
27 The God of old is [your] dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He drives out the enemy before you and commands, "Destroy!"

Prayer:

Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so glad that there is a place and person in whom we can find rest for our weary souls. Father God, thank you for being a place of refuge, and a shelter from the storms of life. Lord, I choose to wait on Thee. In Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 50:4 (HCSB)
4 The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens Me each morning; He awakens My ear to listen like those being instructed.
