Observation:
When I look around and listen to what people are saying and writing I become acutely aware that there are many difficult problems that people are dealing with. However, there is some good news in spite of all of the bad news reports.
The last verse in our focal passage gives me hope; yes, troubles will come in the life of God's people. But, we can be of good cheer. We can do this because of this promise by Jesus.
John 16:33 (KJV)
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
We should expect trouble. However, we should also take comfort in the knowledge of what we know about the promises of God. Troubles may last for a season, but joy comes in the morning. We can find an oasis of peace in the midst of our storm tossed lives.
Prayer is the key that opens the door to our deliverance. With the help of the word of God, and the Spirit of God, we can have an effective prayer life. To pray aright is to pray to the Father, through the Son, and with the aid and assistance of the Holy Spirit. O, how we need to return to praying the word, and praying in the Spirit.
Romans 8:26-27 (HCSB)
26 In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.
27 And He who searches the hearts knows the Spirit's mind-set, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so grateful that you delight to answer the prayers of your people. Father, I am so thankful for the wisdom of the word, and the power of the Holy Spirit in aiding and assisting your people's prayer life.
Father God, stir the hearts of your people until we cannot resist the urge to bow the knee, and bring our troubles and our needs to you in prayer. Father, exchange our troubled hearts for a cheerful heart. In Jesus name, Amen.

4 The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens ⌊Me⌋ each morning; He awakens My ear to listen like those being instructed.

I am so thankful for the reader who read this post today; it's a blessing to know that we have a Helper who is able to meet us where we are, and enable us to stand fast and faithful in our day of trouble.

Romans 8:26-27 (NLT)
26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.
