Observation:

In the book of beginnings we discover that the people of God have always sought a place of refuge, and that place has been in the presence of the Lord.

What a blessing it is to know that the Sovereign God of the universe; the God of creation, and the God of redemption cares about his people.

When life throws us a bunch of lemons; we can find that place of comfort and security where the Lord prepares for us in the presence of our foes a pitcher of lemonade out of those lemons. From the beginning, God has always proven himself to be gracious and good to his people.

I take comfort in the words he speaks to Abraham, "Fear not". In the midst of your darkest hour, in the stillness of your darkest night, listen for the voice of God and you will hear him say to you, "Fear not".

The fruit of trusting in the Lord always yields an overflow of blessings; the Lord delights in opening the windows of heaven, and showering his people with blessings from on high.

James 1:17 (NLT)
17 Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

Prayer:

Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so grateful that in this world of turmoil and strife that there is a place where we can find peace, safety, and blessings overflowing with love. Father, I thank you for all of my blessings every day. In Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 50:4 (HCSB)
4 The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens Me each morning; He awakens My ear to listen like those being instructed.
