Observation:
What do others see when they observe our speech and our actions? Do they see the work of the designer or the destroyer?
In our focal passage for today the Apostle Paul gives some examples of how believers can build up the Body of Christ; how they can add value to others.
Three of these examples found a home in my heart.
1. Truth
Ephesians 4:25 (HCSB)
25 Since you put away lying, Speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another.
2. Tongue
Ephesians 4:29 (HCSB)
29 No foul language is to come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear.
3. Tenderhearted
Ephesians 4:32 (HCSB)
32 And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I acknowledge that I am a work in progress; I am not yet what I ought to be, but thank God I am not what I used to be.
Father the longer I live the more I realize how helpless I am without your wisdom and your power working in me. Father, keep me forever under the umbrella of your tender loving care. In Jesus name, Amen.

4 The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens ⌊Me⌋ each morning; He awakens My ear to listen like those being instructed.
