Title: Are You A Seeker; Is the Lord Your Keeper?

Text:

Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV)

13  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Observation:

Our focal verse for today reminds me of something that a dear friend says frequently, "I am a seeker". I say a hearty Amen to his declaration, and agree that what he says also agrees with the scripture passage we are meditating on today.

This is God's promise to sinful people then; think about that for a while, because the God of yesterday is also the God of today, and He does not change.

Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV)

13  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

God wanted His people then to seek Him, and He still wants His people today to seek Him. The heavenly Father enjoys being in the presence of His people. This knowledge should inform us about the value of spending time with our family and friends. There is no substitute for face to face time.

John 6:37 (KJV)

37  All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Prayer:

Father, hallowed be Your name. Father, I am so delighted to spend time in Your presence, and I am beyond blessed to hear that You delight to spend time in our presence. What a God!

Father, stir up in us a sincere and burning desire to spend time with the people who mean a lot to us; our loved ones, and our true friends. Father, help us to learn the value of being present in the lives of those we love.

Father, Your presence in our lives means so much to us, and may our presence in the lives of our loved ones be meaningful to them. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Acts 6:4 (ESV)
4  But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."

2  O you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come.
