Title: 3 Marks of Those Who Walk With the Lord

Text:

Psalm 27:13-14 (ESV)

13  I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living!

14  Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!

Observation:

O, the blessings that comes to those who see the goodness of the Lord in their life. It comes from having a loving spiritual Father, our Father in heaven.

One of these marks is waiting, and provides bookends for the other two. We will look at each one.

Wait:

Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)

31  but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Be Strong:

Ephesians 6:10 (ESV)

10  Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

Be Courageous:

Psalm 31:24 (ESV)

24  Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD!

Wait:

Isaiah 40:29-31 (ESV)

29  He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

30  Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;

31  but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

While you wait on the Lord; Be strong and Be courageous. This year I set as my one word goal the word: BE. I have found that every day the Father tells me through His Word, and by His Spirit who He wants me to be. By His strength and power I am becoming who God made me to be, and so can you.

Prayer:

Father God, Abba Father, I am so thankful that you provide strength and courage to those, who by faith, wait on You. Father, please accept the praise and thanksgiving from the hearts and the lips of Your people. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Acts 6:4 (ESV)
4  But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."

Psalm 65:2 (ESV)
2  O you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come.
