Title: What Matters the Most to You?

Text:

Matthew 13:45-46 (ESV)
45 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, 46 who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Observation:

There will be a lot of noise in the marketplace today, and the thought occurred to me to not publish anything today.

However, that thought was overcome by another thought; write and publish something that really matters, and allow the Holy Spirit of God to do His office work.

Isaiah 55:11 (ESV)
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

I read an article this morning on my newsfeed that was very discouraging and disappointing. It reminded me of something my pastor said about one of the primary tools in Satan's tool box is discouragement. Beware; he has lots of agents that he uses to spread this deadly disease.

Galatians 5:15 (ESV)
But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.

I will close on this word of encouragement; the way to overcome evil is not with more evil, but with the love of God.

1 Peter 4:8 (ESV)
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

This is what matters most to me.

Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Prayer:

Father God, my dear Father, I am so thankful for the love of God, and for the precious gift of everlasting life. Father, may Your love that abides in me spill out on those I come in contact with today. Father, help me to love others with the love of the Lord. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Romans 5:5 (ESV)
and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Matthew 4:4 (HCSB)
4 But He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

Psalm 2:8 (HCSB)
8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
