Title: How to Go Through Troubles without Losing Your Faith
Text: Romans 8:31-39

Observation:
There is a mystery that surrounds the troubles we encounter in life. Some things that happen are beyond our finite ability to understand the whys.
Today's reading gives us a window into showing us a way to go through difficult times, and come out with our faith in stack. In fact, we can go through troubles, and have our faith deepened and strengthened.
None of us gets through life without going through the valley of trials, tribulations, and troubles. They are the common lot of all. Notice what the Apostle Paul wrote to the first century church at Rome.
Romans 8:35-36 (NLT)
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
36 (As the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.")
Hard times will come; the rain falls on the just and the unjust. However, child of God; if we keep our eyes on Jesus, we have a hope and a refuge that no one can take away from us. Hold on tight to the promises of God, and never let them go.
When troubles come, don't ask why; rather, ask what I can learn about God in this circumstance. As one author has said, "Don't waste those sorrows".
Romans 8:37 (ESV)
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so glad that the children of God live on your promises, and not on explanations.
Father, I have hope because of your promise that nothing can separate us from your love. Yes, troubles will come. However, name the trouble, and the answer comes back loud and clear; no, nothing can separate us from your love. For this, we say, thank you Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.

Acts 6:4 (KJV)
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
