The Word of God for wisdom:

Proverbs 25:9-10 (NLT)
9
When arguing with your neighbor, don't betray another person's secret.
10 Others may accuse you of gossip, and you will never regain your good reputation.

The Word of God for inspiration:

Psalm 82:8 (NLT)
8 Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you.

The Word of God for encouragement:

1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 (HCSB)
9
About brotherly love: You don't need me to write you because you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.
10
In fact, you are doing this toward all the brothers in the entire region of Macedonia. But we encourage you, brothers, to do so even more,
11
to seek to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you,
12 so that you may walk properly in the presence of outsiders and not be dependent on anyone.

My observation:

The key word in this fourth chapter of 1Thessalonians is more. The Apostle Paul mentions it at the beginning of the chapter, and he repeats it in verse ten.

1 Thessalonians 4:1 (HCSB)
1 Finally then, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us how you must walk and please God—as you are doing—do so even more.

There are some things in life that we should abstain from. However, there are some things that we need more of, and that is our focus today.

We need more love for one another in the body of Christ, and we need more love for those who are outside of the household of faith in Christ. The mark of the believer should be love.

1 John 3:14 (HCSB)
14 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.

Let's be demonstrations in this world of what a Christ follower looks like by the way that we love one another.

John 13:34-35 (HCSB)
34
"I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another.
35 By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

My prayer:

Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, will you stir our hearts, and flame a desire within us to be people who love others with the love that we have received from you. Father, may our lives increasingly be marked by more and more love for you, and for others. In Jesus name, Amen.
