13 Let us walk with decency, as in the daylight: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy.
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.
My observation:
If there ever was a time when the believer needed to let their lights shine, surely the time is today. If you are a Christ follower the time is now to believe like one, look like one, and live like one.
You cannot stand still; you are either growing more like Christ, or you are growing more like the world. What picture does Christ see when he looks at you? What picture does the world see when it looks at you?
The alarm clock is ringing the sound is loud enough for all who are listening to hear. O, child of God, hear these words of exhortation from the pen of the Apostle Paul, "It is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep".
It's now time; it time to grow and glow for Christ in this dim, dark, and dangerous world. Only the light of life; the light of Christ in you, will change the dimness and the darkness in our world into his marvelous son light of hope.
Are you walking in the light in your daily ordinary life? If Christ is indeed in you, then let him shine through you and dispel the darkness in this world.
My prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I pray that you would set on fire the hearts of your believing people around this world. Father, may many answer the call to wake up, and let our lights shine in our everyday walk in this world. In Jesus name, Amen.
