The Word of God for wisdom:
Proverbs 20:5 (HCSB)
5 Counsel in a man's heart is deep water; but a man of understanding draws it out.
The Word of God for inspiration:
Psalm 21:13 (HCSB)
13 Be exalted, LORD, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your might.
The Word of God for encouragement:
Romans 10:14-17 (HCSB)
14 But how can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher?
15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!
16 But all did not obey the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?
17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.
My observation:
Today's focal passage from Romans reminds me of the song, "Send the Light". Jesus is calling his people to go into the entire world and preach the gospel, and men and women are calling to believers to come over and help us.
The missionary heart of the Apostle Paul is evident in our focal passage. His compelling call and his compassion is on full display. You don't have to be a pastor to proclaim the gospel.
John 20:21 (KJV)
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Paul refers to an Old Testament passage to describe the beauty of those who respond to the calling of God to go and make disciples of the nations.
Isaiah 52:7 (HCSB)
7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the herald, who proclaims peace, who brings news of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
The Lord will see your feet as beautiful if you use them to go and tell somebody about the gospel of Christ today. People are always asking spiritual questions. Be ready to give them an answer.
1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
It is now time; so let's get up and go tell the world that Jesus saves.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (HCSB)
2 For He says: I heard you in an acceptable time, and I helped you in the day of salvation. Look, now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation.
My prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I pray that you will use my heart to care, my feet to go, and my mouth to tell somebody about the Savior. Lord, lead me to some soul today, and love that soul through me. This is my prayer, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalm 130:3-4 (HCSB)
3 Yahweh, if You considered sins, Lord, who could stand?
4 But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be revered.
Psalm 18:6 (HCSB)
6 I called to the LORD in my distress, and I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached His ears.
