Sunday Morning Reflections_July 17, 2011

The Word of God for wisdom:

Proverbs 17:14 (AMP)
14 The beginning of strife is as when water first trickles [from a crack in a dam]; therefore stop contention before it becomes worse and quarreling breaks out.

The Word of God for inspiration:

Psalm 72:12-14 (HCSB)
12 For he will rescue the poor who cry out and the afflicted who have no helper.
13 He will have pity on the poor and helpless and save the lives of the poor.
14 He will redeem them from oppression and violence, for their lives are precious in his sight.

The Word of God for encouragement:

Philippians 2:8-12 (HCSB)
8 He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death—even to death on a cross.
9 For this reason God also highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow— of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth—
11 and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

My prayer:

Father God, Abba, Father, I am so thankful for this reminder from the word that I read today of your wisdom, lovingkindness, and your humility. Father, I pray that today, and everyday I will reflect more of these Christlike qualities in my life.
