Title: The Peace That Comes from God Alone
Text:
1 John 1:5-7 (ESV)
5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
Observation:
It is normal to have fears and anxieties when you look around and see the conditions of our world today. The leaders of the nations of the world lack answers, and wrong seems to be on the throne. The media has lots of bad news to report, and if that is your primary source of information you are not getting the whole story.
Let's take a look at this from the perspective of the creator of the world, and every living being. Listen to what God says.
Isaiah 12:2 (ESV)
"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."
Psalm 56:3 (ESV)
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
Psalm 27:1 (ESV)
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I am so thankful that nothing that happens in this world is ever a surprise to You. Father God, I am so thankful that You care about us supremely, and that You reward those who put their trust in You. Father, I choose to pray, and not worry about anything. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Matthew 4:4 (HCSB)
4 But He answered, "It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Psalm 2:8 (HCSB)
8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
