Title: Why Not Accept This Pre-Paid Option to Our Problems?

Text:

Luke 1:37 (ESV)
For nothing will be impossible with God."

Observation:

If there was ever a time that we needed the Lord, we need Him at this present time in our communities, and in our world.

When we have problems in our life the natural tendency is to focus on the problem. However, this goes against what the Bible teaches us about how God wants us to relate to Him.

We may feel impotent to deal with the volume and the difficulty of the problems we face in our communities, and in our world, but we are not without help and hope. There is a God who is able to help us, and is willing to help us. The thing we need most is more of God, and we seem to be farther from Him. Why not accept His invitation, and rely upon His mighty power?

Matthew 11:28 (ESV)
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Ephesians 3:20-21 (ESV)
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Those who draw near to God will find Him to be all that they need; they will find the peace that only the Prince of Peace can provide. Here is the key to knowing God, and experiencing His power for life today and forever.

Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Lord, my answer is, "Lord, I come to You".

Prayer:

Our Father in heaven, Sovereign Lord, my dear Father, I am so thankful that You are a God who loves us supremely, and You are the Great Shepherd, and we are the sheep of Your pasture. Father, help us learn to lean totally upon You; Your presence and Your power. Father, by Your great love and power; draw us nearer to You. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Psalm 23:1-4 (ESV)
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
