Title: If You Believe in Jesus, You Belong to God
Text:
2 Corinthians 5:15 (HCSB)
15 And He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (HCSB)
19 Don't you know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
20 for you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.
Observation:
How could anyone who is a child of God have an inferiority complex? Is it because of lack of knowledge of whom and whose you are? You are special to God, and He has a purpose for you in this world; even where you are right now. If you belong to God, you lack nothing.
Take a moment to read the following passage, and think about how blessed you are, and how rich you are in the things that will last for eternity.
Ephesians 1:11-12 (HCSB)
11 We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will,
12 so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory.
It's time for God's people to break the silence; it's time to glorify God in our body, and with our tongue. Let's serve the Lord with gladness of heart; with a love for God and for others. Do you have a hunger in your heart to be all that God purposed you to be? Then surrender your all to God; then pray and watch what He will do in and through you.
Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I pray that each day I will demonstrate by my talk and my walk; my hands and heart that I belong to Jesus, and that Jesus belongs to me. In His name I pray, Amen.
"Fully surrendered—Lord, I am Thine;
Fully surrendered, Savior divine!
Live Thou Thy life in me;
All fullness dwells in Thee;
Not I, but Christ in me,
Christ all in all."
