Title: The Because of Why I Love to Tell the Story

Romans 10:14 (ESV)
¹⁴ How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

Observation:

I have heard it said by some that I have to see to believe. I have heard others say you have to believe to see. Our text for today asks a very significant question; it draws our attention to the importance of hearing in believing. Hearing is the gateway to believing.

Acts 4:4 (ESV)
⁴ But many of those who had heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.

Notice the passion and the commitment of the Apostle Paul to the gospel of Christ; see and feel his heart; he was missionary, not stationary. Paul understood the imperative to go where God sends.

Romans 10:15 (HCSB)
¹⁵ And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!

There is power and promise of a bountiful harvest when we faithfully tell the story of Jesus and His love for the whole world. This is His story, and I love to tell it as I go.

John 3:16-18 (ESV)
¹⁶ "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

I love to tell the story;
'Tis pleasant to repeat
What seems each time I tell it,
More wonderfully sweet.
I love to tell the story;
For some have never heard
The message of salvation
From God's own holy Word.

A gift is of no benefit unless you receive it. Have you received God's gift to you? He gave His most precious possession; His only Son, Jesus. I love to tell His story because some have never heard.

Prayer:

Father God, my dear Father, I am so grateful that You have called Your people to be tellers of the Goodnews of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Father, I pray that those who hear the gospel of Christ will receive the Savior. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
