The Word of God for wisdom:

Proverbs 10:24-25 (NLT)
24 The fears of the wicked will be fulfilled; the hopes of the godly will be granted. 25 When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.

The Word of God for inspiration:

Psalm 37:12-15 (HCSB)
12 The wicked person schemes against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him. 13 The Lord laughs at him because He sees that his day is coming. 14 The wicked have drawn the sword and strung the bow to bring down the afflicted and needy and to slaughter those whose way is upright. 15 Their swords will enter their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

The Word of God for encouragement:

Isaiah 32:17 (HCSB)
The result of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.

Matthew 5:6 (HCSB)
Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they will be filled.

My observation:

Today we continue our meditation on Psalm 37. What a blessing it is to know that no matter what we are going through that there is a God who is above all, rules over all, and is in control of all.

The choice word for today is peace. Yes, there is a lot of unrest, wickedness, and evil in the world. However, God is able to deliver his people from the storms of life, and give them a peace that will last forever.

My prayer:

Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so thankful that you are a God who is able to deliver on every promise that you have made to your beloved people. Father, I thank you for your promise of a peace that will last forever. Oh, the peace that comes from knowing that God is in control of everything on earth and in heaven.

John 14:1 (HCSB)
"Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me.

John 14:27 (HCSB)
"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

1 Peter 2:2-3 (ESV)
2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
