The Word for wisdom:
Proverbs 24:10 (ESV)
If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.
The Word for inspiration:
Psalm 31:19-24 (HCSB)
19 How great is Your goodness that You have stored up for those who fear You and accomplished in the sight of everyone for those who take refuge in You. 20 You hide them in the protection of Your presence; You conceal them in a shelter from the schemes of men, from quarrelsome tongues. 21 May the Lord be praised, for He has wonderfully shown His faithful love to me in a city under siege. 22 In my alarm I had said, "I am cut off from Your sight." But You heard the sound of my pleading when I cried to You for help. 23 Love the Lord, all His faithful ones. The Lord protects the loyal, but fully repays the arrogant. 24 Be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord.
My observation:
David concludes this Psalm by giving praise to the Lord because of his goodness. David had learned not to put his trust in his own strength, because his strength was too small for the adversity he faced in his life.
David realized that even his own faith sometimes faltered, but his God was faithful to pardon even David's unfaithfulness.
Psalm 31:22 (HCSB)
In my alarm I had said, "I am cut off from Your sight." But You heard the sound of my pleading when I cried to You for help.
Isn't God good to his people who put their trust in him, fear him, and take refuge in him? When the Lord is your hope and your helper you don't have to focus on the size of your problems, rather, you can focus on the size of your God.
My prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I delight to join with the saints of the ages in giving praise to you for your unfailing love. Father, your love is truly a love without limits.
Father God, I thank you that because of your goodness, I have strength for today and hope for all of my tomorrows. Father, when my day of adversity comes I will trust in, and rely upon the loving favor of my heavenly Father. Lord, I am weak, but you are strong so I can rejoice because the victory is mine through the strength of the Lord.

Current topic: A Proverb a day for wisdom, and a Psalm a day for inspiration.
Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
I am so thankful for the goodness of God. You can always count on God doing the right thing; He is not like a man or woman who will disappoint us by their bad behavior.

I had said in my alarm, “I am cut off from your sight.” But you heard the voice of my pleas for mercy when I cried to you for help.
