What Is Your View of Our World The Day After Easter?

Today Somebody Prayed for You

Today's Cup of Monday Morning Encouragement by Herb Cotton

Bible Text for Today's Meditation and Application:

John 8:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

My Reflections on the Word of God Today:

What do you believe about the condition of our world today? Do we have more darkness or more light?

How does your belief compare with what God has said? Are you willing to take a small portion of time to listen to what God has to say to His people?

Matthew 24:42-44 King James Version (KJV)

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Would you rather be part of the problem or part of the solution? God wants you to be part of the solution to the problems the world faces today; not tomorrow. The answer is available today, not tomorrow.

Are you willing to become light for this dark world? What you believe can be a world changer.

Matthew 5:14-16 King James Version (KJV)

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Are you willing to follow Jesus today, and every day until His second coming or until He takes you to His home in Heaven? O, my friends, it is time to get up and get going for Jesus and with Jesus as we walk through this world today.

Galatians 2:20 King James Version (KJV)

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Who believes this message? Who will walk with Jesus, and stay with Jesus for the whole journey?

Ephesians 2:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Galatians 6:9 King James Version (KJV)

9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Prayer Offered to Our Father in Heaven:

Father God, I am just one man, I can't do everything, but I can do the one thing that You laid on my heart this morning. I can tell Your people that its time to wake up, get up, and go out into the world and let our light shine so that others can see and come to Jesus the hope of the world, who we talked so much about yesterday.  Yes, He is risen! He is risen indeed!

Today is the time to rise and shine for the glory of God, and the deliverance of the people of this world from darkness, destruction and death. Lord, You have sent Jesus, He has finished His work and its time for God's people to complete our work. In the might name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
