God Speaks - Hear The Word of God

The Wisdom of the Proverbs:

Proverbs 27:12 (NLT)

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

The Encouragement of the Psalms:

Psalm 108:1 (NLT)

My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!

The Hope of the Old Testament:

Ezekiel 22:30 (NLT)

"I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one.

The Gospel Message:

Hebrews 10:12 (NLT)

But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand.

Observation:

This quote describes the first hour of my day.

"Grace comes into the soul, as the morning sun into the world; first a dawning, then a light; and at last the sun in his full and excellent brightness."

Thomas Adams

Key Word Commentary: Thoughts on Every Chapter of the Bible.

The verse that spoke to me was this one:

Ezekiel 22:30 (NLT)

"I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one.

The one word that captures my heart and soul was someone.

Prayer:

Father, if You are looking for someone, I am willing to be one. However, I can't, but I know that You can and will go with me. Father, I offer my whole life to You. Father, connect me with one or more others to go with me. Father, thank You for showing me the power of one individual that is committed to doing Your will and work.
