Title: The Supremacy of Love - - The Love that Never Fails
Text:
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NASB)
4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Observation:
There is nothing that surpasses love. Paul describes it as the more excellent way, and of the gifts that are eternal; love is the greatest.
1 Corinthians 12:31 (NASB)
31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NASB)
13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
God has made each of us unique; we are His workmanship. God loved us, and He commands us to love one another.
Ephesians 5:1-2 (NLT)
1 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
Prayer:
Father God, my dear Father, I am so thankful for the love that You have for Your people. Father, help us to walk in love, and to love others in the manner that we have been loved by You. Father, help us to love and lift up one another every day.
Father, I thank You for the gifts of everlasting life and love. Praying and singing with the love of Jesus in my heart, Amen.
