The Word of God for wisdom:

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

The Word of God for inspiration:

Psalm 111:1 (HCSB)
1 Hallelujah! I will praise the LORD with all my heart in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.

The Word of God for encouragement:

Hebrews 11:17-19 (HCSB)
17
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. He received the promises and he was offering his unique son,
18
the one it had been said about, Your seed will be traced through Isaac.
19 He considered God to be able even to raise someone from the dead, and as an illustration, he received him back.

My observation:

When you choose to live by faith, you are choosing to make the decisions of life based on the word of God, and the promises of God.

Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

You don't have to be a super hero to be a person of faith. If you were to ask those who grew up with Abraham about his future, they would not in a million years said that he would end up in God's list of heroes of faith. Think about where God met Abraham, and where he brought him from.

Joshua 24:2 (NKJV)
2 And Joshua said to all the people, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Your fathers, including Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, dwelt on the other side of the River in old times; and they served other gods.

What God did in the life Abraham, because of his faith in God; the word of God, and the promises of God, he can do for you. The key for Abraham was this.

Genesis 12:1-4 (NKJV)
1
Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you.
2
I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
3
I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
4 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

Hebrews 11:8 (NKJV)
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Are you willing to trust in and obey the God of the bible? If so, then open your arms of faith, and get ready to receive your blessing. Genuine faith is willing to wait on God.

Hebrews 6:12 (NKJV)
12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

My prayer:

Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I am so thankful that I serve a God who is a faithful God; a God who does what he says he will do. Father, we may not know where we are going when you call us to go, but we do know who will be going with us.

Father God, I am so grateful to you for being a God who loves, cares, and provides for his people.  As for me; if God said it I believe it, and I will do it with the strength that my God provides to all who trust in him and obey him. In Jesus name, Amen.

Isaiah 55:11 (HCSB)
11 so My word that comes from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do."
