The Word of God for wisdom:

Proverbs 27:14 (HCSB)
14 If one blesses his neighbor with a loud voice early in the morning, it will be counted as a curse to him.

The Word of God for inspiration:

Psalm 110:1 (HCSB)
1  [This is] the declaration of the LORD to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool."

The Word of God for encouragement:

Hebrews 11:1 (HCSB)
1
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.

Hebrews 11:6 (HCSB)
6 Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.

My observation

What is faith? The bible says that true faith is confidence in God; it believes that what God says in his word he will do. To have faith in God is to believe what he says is true, and what he says we will do. We have not believed in God until we have obeyed what he says in his word.

In every area of our life we need faith in order to be pleasing to God. Let's just look at a few examples that the writer of Hebrews cites.

We need faith in our worshipping of God.

Hebrews 11:4 (HCSB)
4 By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain [did]. By faith he was approved as a righteous man, because God approved his gifts, and even though he is dead, he still speaks through his faith.

We need faith in our working for God.

Hebrews 11:7 (HCSB)
7 By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

We need faith while we are waiting on God to fulfill his promises. This example is of Abraham.

Hebrews 11:10 (NKJV)
10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

This is not an exhaustive list; read the rest of the chapter, and you will find more. This is the point; we need faith in every area of our life, and in every condition and circumstance we face. The bible says that when we exclude faith, we sin.

Romans 14:23 (NKJV)
23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.

My prayer:

Our Father in heaven, my dear Father I am so thankful for the measure of faith that you have given me that gives me confidence in the entire word of God. This faith that I have enables me to worship, work, and wait on God.

Father God, I am so thankful for the promises of God. Father, I pray that I will not sin by failing to believe the promises of God. Father, may my confidence in you  be sure enough to realize that delay is not a sign that my help is not on the way; delay is not denial of my request for help. Father, I thank you for being a God who hears and answers prayer. In Jesus name, Amen.

1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)
14
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Isaiah 55:11 (HCSB)
11 so My word that comes from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do."
