The Word of God for wisdom:
Proverbs 21:25 (NLT)
25 Despite their desires, the lazy will come to ruin, for their hands refuse to work.
The Word of God for inspiration:
Psalm 37:30 (NLT)
30 The godly offer good counsel; they teach right from wrong.
The Word of God for encouragement:
1 Corinthians 14:12 (HCSB)
12 So also you—since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek to excel in building up the church.
My observation:
The Apostle Paul admonished the Corinthian church that the best gift was love. Then he described it in chapter thirteen.
1 Corinthians 12:31 (HCSB)
31 But desire the greater gifts. And I will show you an even better way.
However, when he comes to chapter fourteen, he encouraged them to not neglect the other gifts. Paul believed and taught that all of the gifts are important for the health of the body.
1 Corinthians 12:21 (HCSB)
21 So the eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" Or again, the head can't say to the feet, "I don't need you!"
In the church members should not be seen as big I and little you. The ground at the foot of the cross is level ground, and we should never forget that we are who we are in Christ, and what he did on the cross at Calvary. This knowledge should keep us humble.
If you want to do the most for your church, then use your God given gifts to excel in building up the church.
My prayer:
Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I pray that you will give me a burning desire to use my God given gifts to excel in building up the body of Christ. In Jesus name, and for the sake of the spread of the gospel of Christ, Amen.

1 Corinthians 1:2-3 (HCSB)
2 To God's church at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus and called as saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord—⌊both⌋ their Lord and ours.
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
