Why Are God’s People So Valued In His Eyes?

Text:

Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)

3  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Observation:

As I read this scripture recently my eyes were opened to receive the truth that God really does see value in all of His created beings. When I think about the extent to which He went to redeem us from the fall of humanity, I am awed by His love, grace, and forgiveness.

John 3:16 (KJV)

16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You become valued in God's eyes when He sees Jesus living in you, and you walking with Jesus day by day, and moment by moment.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)

21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

God does not leave us the way we are. When we receive Christ into our lives we are changed.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

God has a wonderful purpose for your life. He will take you where you are, and make you useful for His purpose.

John 3:17 (KJV)

17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

The process may be slow, but you can trust God to finish the work He begun in you. God is a worker that never fails, and He will never give up on you.

Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians 1:6 (ESV)

6  And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Prayer:

Father, I extol and give your name the highest praise because You are God alone. There is none like You, no not one.

Father, I shutter to think of where we would be without Christ in us; the hope of glory. Father, I am so grateful that we don't have to worry about that because of Your promise to never leave us or forsake us.

Father, by the power of the triune God living within us, we give you thanks for making us worthy to be ambassadors for Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

--

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
