Text:
Romans 12:10-12 (ESV)
10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Observation:
Even in the midst of trials, troubles, and tribulations; there is always something to be thankful for.
It will be a blessing if you would take the time to get alone, with pen or keyboard, and make a list of the things you are grateful for.
The Bible says:
Psalm 107:1 (ESV)
1 Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Hebrews 12:28 (ESV)
28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,
Do you have something to thank God for? Why not show Him your gratitude by giving the Lord the praise, and the thanks for His blessings to you?
James 1:17 (HCSB)
17 Every generous act and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights; with Him there is no variation or shadow cast by turning.
Prayer:
Father, I exalt Your name, and give You praise and thanks for being a good, good Father, and being the only one who is completely trustworthy.
Father, I am so grateful that Your nature is unchanging, and that Your promises are secure.
Father, we, Your people, acknowledge that You are Jehovah Jireh; our provider who never fails, and never gives up on us. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
