Title: Are You Saved, Sanctified, and Sent?

Text:

John 17:14-19 (HCSB)

14  I have given them Your word. The world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

15  I am not praying that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one.

16  They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

17  Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.

18  As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19  I sanctify Myself for them, so they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Observation:

If you are a child of God, do you realize what Jesus has done for you? O, how blessed to be a child of God. It is God that saves, sanctifies, and sends His people.

Notice this prayer Jesus prayed for His disciples of every age. This prayer was for you.

John 17:20-21 (HCSB)

20  I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in Me through their message.

21  May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You. May they also be one in Us, so the world may believe You sent Me.

Jesus is not unaware of the trials, troubles, and temptations you will face living in this present world.

John 16:33 (HCSB)

33  I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world."

In this world with all of its problems, you can still have peace in the midst of the storms of life. This is the promise of Jesus to His followers.

John 14:27 (HCSB)

27  "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

Prayer:

Our Father, hallowed be Your name. What a privilege to be able to call you our Father; to know that we are loved by God. Father, I am so glad I can call You my Father.

Father, my greatest desire is that You might increase, and I might decrease so that the glory may go to You, and that the growth might be seen in me. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

--

Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
