The Word of God for wisdom:

Proverbs 22:16 (HCSB)
16 Oppressing the poor to enrich oneself, and giving to the rich—both lead only to poverty.

The Word of God for inspiration:

Psalm 47:5-6 (HCSB)
5
God ascends among shouts of joy, the LORD, among the sound of trumpets.
6 Sing praise to God, sing praise; sing praise to our King, sing praise!

The Word of God for encouragement:

2 Corinthians 6:14 (HCSB)
14
Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 (HCSB)
17
Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you.
18 I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty.

My observation:

God desires to walk closely with his people, and have daily fellowship and communion with them. However, to have this relationship with Holy God, we must separate ourselves from the world. This has always been the case. Notice what the first Psalm said.

Psalm 1:1 (HCSB)
1 How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path of sinners or join a group of mockers!

God wants to have a closer walk with you today and every day. Are you willing to meet his conditions for this closer fellowship with the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords?

2 Corinthians 6:14 (AMP)
14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?

My prayer:

Our Father in heaven, my dear Father, I pray that you will set apart the hearts of your people. Father, I ask that you enable us, by the power of the Holy Spirit of God, to have a separated and closer walk with you. O, how we need you to shine in us, and through us in this world of darkness that surrounds us.

Father God, help us to focus more on the Lighthouse than we focus on the Whitehouse. In Jesus name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (NKJV)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
