Text:
Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT)
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Observation:
I am so glad that the Bible says, "There is no law against kindness." Is there anyone that will let me know if you agree with what the Bible says, and have found this to be real in your life?
Let's examine and meditate on more of what the Bible says about this fruit of the Spirit, which is kindness (NLT) and gentleness in the (KJV).
Genesis 21:23 (KJV)
Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.
Isaiah 54:10 (KJV)
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
Colossians 3:12 (NLT)
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Ephesians 4:31-32 (NLT)
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
I am so grateful to God, Our Father in heaven, that He has poured into our hearts the Holy Spirit, and through His mighty power we can receive kindness and be kind to others.
Prayer:
Father God, we thank You for showering us with an abundance of the fruits of the Spirit.
Father, we pray that we will always remember that there is no law against being patient with others and ourselves. In the power and assistance of the Holy Spirit of God, we pray, with a heart filled with thanksgiving, Amen.
